Oliver – the Voice of Dalmatia
Oliver Dragojević was a singer songwriter and a living legend, not only in Croatia but the entire former Yugoslavia. He started his career in the 70’s, was the voice of many generations and performed on stage until he tragically passed away in summer 2018. While sitting in a restaurant or café in Croatia, you can still listen for Oliver’s warm tenor voice sing about sea, love and life. Not only was he a great musician and wonderful singer, but an ambassador of the beauty, kindness and rootedness of Mediterranean life itself. Listen to his first big hit – “Galeb i ja” “The seagull and me” from 1975 and enjoy watching the emotional farewell that the city of Split gave to one of his greats.
